Interreg Danube Region - IaaS 4 DR

The "Innovation as a Service for Danube Region" (IaaS 4 DR) project targets traditional industrial regions in their process of change.

Challenges: Structural change, untapped innovation potential and skilled worker shortages. 


Aims: Enhancing innovation support services by building precise capacities, fostering collaboration, accessing and exchanging transnational expertise. The applicated "Innovation as a Service" approach focuses on the increasing outsourcing-activities, the accompanying demand of specialized services and flexible resource access in modern economies. 


Key objectives: Building (trans)regional partnerships, active knowledge transfer and demonstrating project potential through pilot activities and the showcase of best-practises. 


Main outputs: 

  • Digital blended learning platform. 

  • Transnational community of support providers and integrated innovation support delivery models. 

  • The project aims to deliver durable solutions integratable into used working practices.

16 project partners, starting this journey towards innovation and technological advancement across the Danube region.

The first partner meeting in Kosice stands for the beginning of a journey assembling partners from different regions aligning the danube. Together we´ll create new concepts to jointly imporve the innovation support in each of the partner regions...and above!

The IaaS4DR project consortium met in-person again, this time in Murska Sobota, Slovenia 🇸🇮 hosted by project partner Pomurje Technology Park.

Our partner meeting consisted of workshops relating directly to the IaaS4DR Regional meetings as well as one for identifying future training needs within support providers in the respective regions supplemented by two company visits.🤝

Interviews with different players from the (growing) innovation region northern black forest.

As part of our “Innovation as a Service for Danube Region” (IaaS 4 DR) project, we want to better understand which innovation offerings already exist in our northern Black Forest region, which hurdles exist in their implementation and which offerings are still missing. To this end, we spoke to representatives of the most important providers in our region.

"Innovation as a Service for Danube Region" (IaaS 4 DR) supports traditional industrial regions in their process of change. This project connects 12 european partners, located all over the Danube region, to foster transfer and create dynamic structures.
